Who is Mr. Coggi? |


|
Mr. Coggi graduated from Angelo State University and has been teaching Kindergarten since 1986, all of those years with San Felipe Del Rio CISD. Formerly at W. B. Travis Elementary School, he has been on the staff at Dr. Lonnie Green Elementary School since it opened in August of 1998.
He has one daughter, Heather, a son-in-law, Ben, and two grandsons, Colton Tyler, and Kyle Tristan . Photos of our adventures can be seen here .

His pets are a dog, Ginger, and three snakes - an albino Sonoran Gopher Snake named “Squeeze” , a ball python named "Monty", and a corn snake (named Muffin) who love mice (for dinner that is).
Among his favorite places to visit are Garner State Park, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and Ocean Grove, New Jersey.
As an Intel Teach to the Future Master Teacher, he teaches classes for teachers wishing to participate in the Intel Teach to the Future program and is the campus technology liaison. Presently he is developing a website, TechIntegrate.Org which is dedicated to the integration of technology in education.
He was selected as the campus Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003 and 2004-2005.
In his spare time, he operates as an Amateur Radio Operator (General Class), is a member of ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) and RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service). He has also completed both the basic and advanced weather spotter courses. In addition, he is also a member of the Del Rio Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Assn.
